Our Philosophy
Five Element acupuncture practitioners and clinics have been established in the UK since the 1970s, and can be found in many other European cities and throughout the USA. TendingShen believes that classical acupuncture now has a crucial role to play in the expansion of complementary medicine in Canada, and the health and well-being of Canadians. Over the past decade interest in Oriental medicine in general has increased, as the general public has realized that this approach to health care effectively supplements traditional treatments. Acupuncture offers both a cost effective solution for the treatment of a wide range of symptoms/diseases, and an option of preventative medicine.
TendingShen is dedicated to the provision of affordable, high quality health care to local communities, to the expansion of Canadian health education, and to the continuing professional education of qualified complementary and allopathic practitioners. TendingShen is also committed to the training of new generations of acupuncturists, as a Founder Sponsor of Ongiara College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. |
